Few Users Afford to Enjoy Fast Windows 7

 The usability of fast Windows 7 depends on installing PCs’ quality, resource and specification demands, hardware configuration, pricing, compatibility with oldies, and upgrading from XP.

The operating system ‘Windows 7’ can be installed only on a superb computer. Resources needed for this OS are far more compared to its predecessors such as Windows Vista and Windows XP require. The OS’ requirements of specifications are higher. As a result, it is useful to merely a few users.

This usability factor of fast Windows 7 depends on performance, compatibility, budget and other issues.

The fast Windows 7 has fantastic features and stunning performance that make it a vibrant OS. Fast Windows 7 needs an improved hardware configuration to operate fast.

Minimum configuration to run fast Windows 7

  • DirectX 9 graphics device having WDDM 1.0 alternatively higher driver
  • 16 GB of hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
  • 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
  • 1 gigahertz (GHz), faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor 

 Other things needed to utilize specific features of fast Windows 7:

  • Based on the kind of resolution, additional memory and sophisticated graphic hardware may be needed for video playback
  • For best functioning, a DirectX 10 or higher compatible graphics card is required for certain programs and games
  • One TV tuner along with extra hardware for running certain Windows Media Center
  • An appropriate optical drive for CD/DVE authoring
  • An USB flash drive to start BitLocker
  • 1 GB of RAM along with 15 GB of more hard disk capacity for Windows XP Mode

 
Price Tag

As for the price tag of Windows 7 Ultimate version, it’s too high. A low budget user cannot get to see all the fast Windows 7 features present solely within the Ultimate version.

Meanwhile, the prices for different versions are different. However, the user needs to spend a minimum of $120 for upgrading from Windows Vista or XP. In case the user does not have any Windows edition on his system, then he has to pay $200 or more as the total value for Windows 7 to enjoy fast Windows 7.

 
Replacement of oldies

Another problem during the release of a fresh operating system is that of replacing the old computer systems. Thus, a user (who wants to load the fast Windows 7 on a system that has become old) must verify if the system components are compatible i.e. whether or not Windows 7 approves of them since certain Windows XP applications don’t operate on Windows 7.


Windows 7 Not for XP Users

Finally, fast Windows 7 is wholly unsuitable for users of Windows XP. These users will not be able to enjoy fast Windows 7 features since Windows 7 offers the choice for switching from Windows Vista to Windows 7, but the same is not possible from Windows XP to Windows 7. Consequently, in case a user isn’t operating Windows Vista, he’ll have to create his files’ backups, clean the hard drive and thereafter he will be able to install Windows 7.
